ARTICLE 1 — GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1 Scope of application
These terms and conditions of sale (hereinafter the “Terms and Conditions”) are applicable exclusively to the online sale of VIDOLÉ BOOKS products, accessible at the address www.leslivres-vidole.com. They define the terms and conditions of the contracts concluded between VIDOLÉ BOOKS and the customer, from the order to delivery.
Any person placing an order with VIDOLÉ BOOKS acknowledges having read and accepted these Terms and Conditions without reservation.
1.2 Availability and opposability
The Terms and Conditions are permanently available on www.leslivres-vidole.com and can be provided upon request by email. Validating the cart and finalization of the order implies full acceptance of the Terms and Conditions in force.
1.3 Modification of the Terms and Conditions of Sale
VIDOLÉ BOOKS reserves the right to modify its Terms and Conditions at any time. The applicable Terms and Conditions are those in force on the date of the order, a dated copy of which can be given to the customer on request.
ARTICLE 2 — PRE-CONTRACTUAL INFORMATION
In accordance with article L.221-5 of the Consumer Code, before any order, the customer is informed in a clear and legible manner of the following elements:
- Key product features: personalized books printed on demand according to customer specifications;
- Total price including tax of the products and delivery costs applicable depending on the destination;
- Payment methods accepted: credit card, PayPal, and any other means indicated on the site;
- Delivery times: 5 to 7 working days (mainland France and Europe), up to 20 working days (rest of the world);
- Existence and terms of the right of withdrawal, with its exceptions applicable to personalized products;
- Identity and contact details of the professional seller: VIDOLÉ BOOKS, 8 Impasse Du Château, 92600 Asnières-sur-Seine, contact@vidolebooks.com.
ARTICLE 3 — RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
Pursuant to article L.221-18 of the Consumer Code, you in principle have a period of 14 days to exercise your right of withdrawal for a contract concluded remotely.
However, in accordance with article L.221-28 3° of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal is excluded for contracts for the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized. As our books are exclusively personalized according to your choices, you can no longer exercise your right of withdrawal once the personalization has been validated.

“The right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for contracts: […] 3° for the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized. »
ARTICLE 4 — CONTENT OF PERSONALIZED BOOKS
Customers are solely responsible for the content of the information provided to VIDOLÉ BOOKS. By submitting their order, customers undertake not to transmit content:
- of an offensive, defamatory, racist, xenophobic, revisionist nature, or inciting hatred or discrimination;
- threatening a person or group of people;
- violating public order or liable to criminal or civil prosecution;
- of an extremist nature or from groups prohibited by law;
- inciting an offense, crime, suicide or acts of terrorism, or advocating crimes against humanity;
- contrary to good morals or offensive to human dignity.
In the event of non-compliance with the content, VIDOLÉ BOOKS reserves the right to refuse the order. Personalized content remains the entire property of the user, who remains solely responsible for any errors.
ARTICLE 5 — ORDER
5.1 Validation steps
To place an order, the customer fills their virtual cart and provides information relating to delivery and payment. The customer can check and correct their order before finalizing it. Confirmation of the order implies acceptance of the Terms and Conditions and forms the contract. An email acknowledging receipt of the order and payment is sent within 48 working hours.
5.2 Modification of the order
From the validation of the cart, no modification relating to the content of the information provided for the composition of personalized books will be possible.
5.3 Order refusal
VIDOLÉ BOOKS reserves the right to refuse any order for legitimate reasons, in particular if the quantities ordered are abnormally high.
ARTICLE 6 — DELIVERY
6.1 Terms
Books are shipped by our partners within 5 to 7 working days for mainland France and Europe, and up to 20 working days for the rest of the world, to the delivery address indicated by the customer. Any request for reshipment following an incorrect address or an unidentifiable recipient will be invoiced according to the rates in force.
6.2 Non-compliant delivery
It is up to the buyer to check, in the presence of the delivery person, the condition of the product delivered and, in the event of damage or missing items, to express reservations on the delivery note or to refuse the product. Upon signature validating receipt, the works are recognized as conforming to the initial order.
ARTICLE 7 — PRICE AND VALIDITY OF OFFERS
The price of goods is indicated per item on the site, including VAT. At the time of validation of the order, the price to pay means the all-inclusive price (VAT + delivery costs). The validity period of offers and prices is determined by updating the site. Telecommunications costs inherent to access to the site remain the sole responsibility of the customer.
ARTICLE 8 — PAYMENT TERMS
All orders are payable in euros, including VAT. Payment is made immediately and in full by credit card or PayPal, or any other means indicated on the site. Payments are secure: VIDOLÉ BOOKS does not have access to its customers' bank details.
ARTICLE 9 — LEGAL GUARANTEES
9.1 Legal guarantee of conformity
In accordance with articles L.217-1 to L.217-20 of the Consumer Code (in their version resulting from Ordinance No. 2021-1247 of September 29, 2021), the seller is required to deliver goods that comply with the contract and is liable for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery.
The consumer has two years from delivery of the goods to act. During this period, the consumer can choose between repair and replacement of the good, subject to the cost conditions provided for in article L.217-12.
Article L.217-4: The seller is required to deliver goods in conformity with the contract and is liable for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery. Article L.217-12: Action resulting from lack of conformity is prescribed two years from delivery of the goods.
9.2 Guarantee against hidden defects
The seller is bound by the guarantee for hidden defects in the item sold which make it unfit for the use for which it is intended (article 1641 of the Civil Code). The action must be brought by the purchaser within two years from the discovery of the defect (article 1648 of the Civil Code).
In this case, you can choose between canceling the sale or reducing the sale price (article 1644 of the Civil Code).
ARTICLE 10 — PROMOTIONAL CODES
Promotional offers are accessible via a code to be entered before confirming the order. They may be temporary and personal, and may be limited to one offer per order. Shipping cost reduction coupons are exclusively reserved for deliveries in mainland France for a single copy.
ARTICLE 11 — AFTER-SALES SERVICE AND COMPLAINTS
You can contact our customer service by email at: contact@vidolebooks.com. We undertake to respond within 5 working days. Only complaints relating to the online sale of items will be taken into account.
ARTICLE 12 — CUSTOMER REVIEWS
Reviews submitted by customers must reflect an authentic shopping experience. In accordance with the decree of May 6, 2022 relating to online reviews, VIDOLÉ BOOKS guarantees that:
- Only customers who have actually placed an order can submit a review;
- Notices are published within a maximum period of 7 days after filing, without modification of the substance;
- A review can be reported or contested via the contact form available on the site;
- Fraudulent, inappropriate or defamatory reviews may be moderated or removed, with cause.
ARTICLE 13 — PERSONAL DATA
The personal data collected during the order are necessary to ensure the management of the transaction. They are neither resold nor transmitted to third parties, except under legal obligation. The customer can exercise their rights (access, rectification, deletion, portability, opposition, limitation) via: contact@vidolebooks.com. ARTICLE 14 — FORCE MAJEURE
VIDOLÉ BOOKS cannot be held responsible in the event of delay or non-execution of the order due to a case of force majeure (natural disaster, pandemic, armed conflict, transport strike, failure of computer systems, etc.).
ARTICLE 15 — INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
VIDOLÉ BOOKS delivers its products worldwide. Delivery costs and times vary depending on destination. The customer is responsible for verifying that the products ordered comply with the local laws of the country of delivery.
ARTICLE 16 — MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS
The fact that VIDOLÉ BOOKS or the customer does not take advantage of one of the clauses of these Terms and Conditions cannot constitute a waiver of said clause for the future. If one of the clauses proves to be invalid, the validity of the other stipulations will not be affected. These Terms and Conditions express the entire agreement of the parties on their subject matter.
ARTICLE 17 — APPLICABLE LAW AND SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES
The language of this contract is French. The applicable law is French law.
In the event of a dispute, the customer undertakes to contact VIDOLÉ BOOKS to resolve the dispute amicably, in writing to: contact@vidolebooks.com.
In the event of failure of an amicable resolution, the consumer customer can resort to mediation free of charge. The competent mediator is:

This procedure does not constitute a prerequisite for going to court. The competent courts will be those of the customer's domicile.
